Restorations include a wide range of variables.  Some are ripped, faded all over or damaged in one major area.  If the original picture did not have the detail, the restoration cannot show the detail.  One restoration we worked with was a setting with a family in a yard.  There was a young girl in a white dress seated in the front.  While working to burn the detail in her dress, much to my surprise, I found a baby in her lap.  Even the photo owner had no idea the baby was there. 


I really enjoyed doing detailed close-ups of the ornaments on a huge Christmas tree from the 1920s.  They were fascinating.


Faded restorations can be burned to show a considerable amount of detail that is barely visible in the faded photograph.  Then, again, there are those that lose all detail.  Rest assured, if it is there, we
will find it.
